At their July 28 board meeting, the Medina EC Board of Directors voted to cancel the 82nd Annual Membership Meeting, which had been planned for October 10 in Uvalde. Medina EC did not want to miss an opportunity to celebrate their members, especially during Cooperative Month, which is recognized each October. In lieu of the meeting, the cooperative offered members a chance to win an assortment of prizes

Prize winners were announced every day from October 12 through 16 on Medina EC’s Facebook page. The grand prize winner was randomly drawn and announced during a Facebook live on October 16. Congratulations to Vance and Anna Barnes, the winner of the $1,000 grand prize. Other prizes included $4,000 worth of energy credits, $2,000 in Visa gift cards, a 65” smart TV, a Chromebook and various other prizes.
