Medina Electric Cooperative held its 87th Annual Membership Meeting on Saturday, October 3, 2026, welcoming 194 members to the cooperative’s Hondo office.

In anticipation of inclement weather and rain, cooperative leadership made the decision on October 1 to transition the event into Medina EC’s first-ever drive-through meeting. Members in attendance were registered to win door prizes, including the $1,000 grand prize, and received a complimentary pancake breakfast to go.

The board election this year was uncontested. Per the cooperative's bylaws, candidate names were submitted to the certification committee in April for election and were certified reelected. This year’s incumbent directors included Larry Huesser of D’Hanis, Jimmie Raines of Uvalde and R.H. Rodriguez of Cotulla.
