America’s Electric Cooperatives designated the second Monday of April each year as National Lineman Appreciation Day. On April 8, Medina Electric Cooperative honors the hardworking people who often work in challenging conditions to keep the lights on.
 
Linemen, often working tirelessly behind the scenes, face various challenges and hazards to maintain the electricity infrastructure. From extreme weather conditions to hazardous environments, they work diligently to restore power during outages and perform routine maintenance to prevent disruptions.
