A harmful bill, HB 3448, is making its way through the Texas legislature. This legislation would:

• Raise Your Electric Bills: Forcing co-ops to allow for-profit telecom companies to use our poles at rates so low they don’t cover costs, shifting the financial burden onto our members.
• Jeopardize Safety and Reliability: Allowing telecom companies to bypass our safety standards and access private property without the owner’s permission.
• Impact Rural Development: Forcing endless litigation that could delay vital co-op projects for years.

This bill is unfair, unsafe and bad for rural Texans like you. We need your help to stop this reckless legislation.
